About Fiona...
Back in 1995 I asked myself; am I happy in my job? My answer was not really. I had a passion for writing and publishing that I’d never explored. So I left my job in the building industry to start my own business and create a magazine for women in business - from scratch.
I didn’t know anything about publishing or running a business – but I was determined to follow my dream.
Over the following eight years Her Business magazine out-sold other titles in the business category, we won awards and appeared on TV and launched into Australia.
I also created the Her Business Awards, to recognise women in business and their successes. We created Her Business Networks around the country so women could come together to network and support each other. In 2003 we organised a national Women in Business Week with Her Business conferences around the country. We also masterminded other initiatives for women in business like the Her Business Clubs (with brainstorming groups), and the Who’s Who publication.
I learnt lots, worked incredibly hard and was always inspired by the women around me, our readers and our supporters. In 2003, a tad burnt out, I sold the business and began to explore what next…How could I reach more women in business and bring them together to learn, to be inspired?
After lots of incubation and evolvement, Entrepreneurette was born. A global community of women in business who learn from and inspire each other.
I welcome your feedback and wish you every success in following your own dreams.

Our team:
Wilma Ham
Wilma migrated from Holland to New Zealand in 1981 and after combining the ‘normal’ mothering and wife thing with a career, she took another tack in 2000, determined to make her own life happen.
She has two grown up daughters, an ex husband, a wonderful new partner and a cat.
Wilma and her partner own Trek Education, a learning organisation that wants people to unlearn a lot of things – especially 'going it alone.'
Wilma is passionate about the internet and what it offers and she loves to write and share her adventures - you can read her blog here and her articles on her learning company’s website here. Wilma also blogs on the entrepreneurette blogzine.
Hayley Nicholls
When Hayley’s previous career in higher education with a job traveling internationally proved to be hollow and exhausting she was motivated to hire a coach to make some changes in her life. Hayley discovered fulfillment and happiness were possible if she was open to it and ready to learn. Her experience working with a coach was so powerful she decided to train as a professional coach herself and transition to a new life helping others to make similar discoveries about themselves.
Hayley went on to found Energy Coaching, a life coaching practice specialising in assisting women to get clear on what is meaningful and valuable to them in order to create the best possible experience in their life. Hayley’s work is based on empowering women to take control of their lives and do it with gusto. She is also an experienced leadership facilitator and public speaker.
